This Pagan Man's Plight

Why must I abide with this forced conversion?
Why should I have to change how my family and I live?
When was my faith in the Gods suddenly an unholy perversion?
To whom, my devotion and offerings, should I instead give?
You say that your almighty God is just and kind,
And you also say that his love is beyond beautiful.
But all I see you do is push his teachings upon my mind,
As if my faith in him and his son should already be unconditional.
Why should I change, for what is your righteous reason?
Or is there none to be found but a blade at my throat?
Or maybe, for not abiding, you can charge me with high treason.
Perhaps you could burn my home down, and deprive me of far more than my filthy coat.
As witness to MY Gods, I refuse to humbly kneel,
For your stones and swords will not sway my heart tonight.
And once you've decided my fate, and those tortures I feel,

Walkers: High Stakes “Well, well. I never thought I’d live to see the day you’d come asking for my help, Johnny Walker.” The man’s voice was a mix of genuine surprise, sadistic pleasure and superiority.
Johnny wanted to spit in his face, but he had to fight down that urge, he couldn’t risk it right now. “You don’t age.” Johnny said dryly.
The man laughed, or at him than his comment. “It’s funny to see you so full of angst, here I was thinking that the great Johnny Walker, a man who, singlehandedly, avoided the reach of a group like Year for over 80 years. Among other Walkers you are a living legend. And now you’re at my mercy.”
“I didn’t realise I was so popular.” Johnny replied in the same dry tone as before. “So are you going to help me Marco or not?” Johnny asked.
Marco shrugged, “I might be able to help you.” He said at length.

is not so easy to do.
How do you let go,
what is not there,
but is fleeting as a spark?
Who are we to think that we can,
where wise men take years of solitude and reflection,
to reach that golden place of complete release?
It is possible, it is doable,
that insurmountable mountain,
the unreachable star.
They are attainable to those
who are yearning for peace.
Sometimes through pain,
sometimes through love,
sometimes through an empty mind,
or even through fate.
But for those who are lost,
who can only pretend,
the answer will be not here or there,
